Endless light, cool wind, and an elevation of over 600 meters. La Selvanella Cru is a remarkable site in the north of the UGA Radda, on the right bank of the Pesa river. Of its 139 hectares, 50 are dedicated to vines, perfectly balanced by nature. Here, Sangiovese Grosso thrives, a result of careful massal selection in the early 1960s, with roots reaching deep into soils of diverse geological origins. Macigno and Sillano, signature elements of Radda in Chianti, blend with a rare outcrop of Pietraforte. This exceptional combination, along with the cool microclimate typical of the inland region near the Chianti mountains, imparts elegance, finesse, and longevity to the Sangiovese, producing a wine that encapsulates the purest essence of nature.
